Control Panel Help
The following describes the purpose of each of the fields in the PayPal shopping basket control panel.
Email
This field is for your email address. If it's filled in, we will use
the address to contact you regarding new features or updates.
Currency
Select the currency of your shop, it is the currency your customers
will be charged in by PayPal.
Item Numbers
If your store uses item or part numbers, turn this on. You will also
need to put <input type=hidden name="item_no" value="123"> into
the buying form on each of your product pages.
Font Size
This sets the font size of the text on the '1 product has been added
to your basket' message and also on the basket page. The font size is
in points and a whole number value between 8 and 12 will work
best.
Font Colour
This sets the colour of the text on the '1 product has been added to
your basket' message and also on the basket page. It should be an
HTML colour without the '#'. There is an HTML colour chart here,
black is 000000.
Body Colour
This sets the background colour of the text on the '1 product has
been added to your basket' message and also on the basket page. It
should be an HTML colour without the '#'. There is an HTML colour
chart here, white is
FFFFFF.
Table Padding
This sets the padding inside each cell of the basket table and is in
pixels. A whole number between 2 and 10 will look best.
Table Border Colour
This sets the colour of the border around the table. There is an HTML
colour chart here.
Table Border Thickness
This sets the thickness of the border around the basket table and is
in pixels. A whole number between 1 and 5 will look best. Setting it
to 0 will turn the border off.
Header Text Colour
This will set the colour of the text in the first row of the basket
table which says Quantity, Item Name etc. There is an HTML colour
chart here, white is
FFFFFF.
Header Text Style
This changes the style of the header text from normal to bold.
Header Background Colour
This sets the background colour of the first and last rows of the
basket table. There is an HTML colour chart here.
Sale Return Page
This is the address where customers will be returned to once they
have sucessfully paid at PayPal and should be a page on your site
that says something like "Thank you for your order, it will be
dispatched shortly"
Failed Return Page
This is the address where customers will be returned to if they have
not successfully paid at PayPal or clicked the link on PayPal to
return to the merchant.
Basket Page
This should be the address where your basket page is and is used to
make the link in the '1 product has been added to your basket'
message.
Redirect
This should only be turned on if you have removed the
'target=product1' from your buying form and will cause the buyer to
be directed straight to the basket page without seeing the '1 product
has been added to your basket' message.
Shipping Text
This sets what text will appear on the basket page if you are using
per item shipping. Instead of 'Shipping' you may want to change it to
'Post & Packing' or 'Shipping & Handling'
Max Shipping Charge
For per item shipping, this will set the maximum amount that the
basket will charge for shipping, irrespective of how much is in the
customers basket. Leave it blank for no limit.
Free Shipping Over
If you offer free shipping over a certain order value, enter the
value here or leave it blank.
Shipping Options
Turn this on if you use per order shipping charges or offer extra
services such as gift wrapping or insurance. Click the link next to
it to enter your shipping options. Some sample options have been set
for you.
Shipping Options Text
If you have turned on shipping options, this will set the text that
appears in front of the pull down option menu on the basket page. |
